Press statement by MCA Public Services & Complaints Bureau Chairman Jason Teoh Sew Hock

PKR’s support for PAS akin to slapping DAP on the face

PKR’s support for PAS is akin to slapping DAP on the face. Therefore, we challenge DAP to immediately sever ties with PKR, and terminate co-operation with any political party having co-operative relationship with PAS once and for all and stop  manipulating voters and continue dancing with wolves of PKR and PAS.
PKR Vice President and Batu Member of Parliament Tian Chua had pointed out that, PKR while uniting DAP and Parti Amanah Negara, would not marginalise PAS. He went on to say that, only when all strengths of the opposition parties were to be combined then only they could face up to Barisan Nasional and help the nation came out from the crisis.
Now that PKR had openly stated that it would not abandon PAS and the stance would not change no matter how much protestations by DAP, then the time should be right for Lim Guan Eng and DAP to fulfil their promise  by distancing themselves from PKR and PAS and show the people that their stand against hudud enactments still hold water.
For political agenda expediency, despite having vowed that the party would cut its ties with PAS President Dato’ Seri Hadi Awang, DAP continues to stay put in the Selangor government on the pretext of monitoring PAS but in actual fact, the Rocket is being power crazy.
If DAP’s stand against PAS for the last few months is anything to go by, then Lim Guan Eng must stop befriending PKR to prove that DAP’s opposition to the hudud enactment was genuine and that whoever intending to co-operate with PAS is in effect supporting the hudud enactment and must be condemned by DAP.
If DAP continues to co-operate with PKR and they go on to remain in the so-called Pakatan Harapan, the only logical explanation is that, DAP supports PKR’s vision and PAS’ hudud enactment as well. Surely it is willing to sacrifice the rights of non-Muslims for the sake of political benefits.
